walk –
walk on toes and heals – 
inspect for swelling, scar, skin changes, 
wasting, deformity – including vagus/vulgas, o f ankle 
 
get the patient on bed – 
inspect for  – foot arches and clawing of feet – , calloses, corns, 
halux vulgas / varus – sussage toes. 
nail changes – 
 
palpatin – ( 6 cm above ankle -both sides –  to motorns neuroma area – planter fascia , heel , sqeez toes  ) 
temperature , pulse, and tenderenss – 
 
move – first active 
then  – passive 
dorsi and planter flex
evertion and invertion, flexion and extensio, of big toe 
mid tarsal/ foot joint ( tenderess is noted ) 
 
look for each interphalangial joint –

      • anterior draw test
      • talar tilt test 
      • thompson test
